Getting the Band Back Together

This announcement has been a long time coming, but we’re excited to say that we’ve begun work on an all-new revision to Starchildren: Velvet Generation! Tentatively titled Velvet Generation, the new revision will be an all-new look at the rock & roll revolution, planned for release in late 2018.

The otherworldly Starchildren have come to Earth on a pilgrimage to the home of rock music, only to find humanity in the grip of the Ministry of Music, with the music they came to find outlawed. The aliens unite with earthling revolutionaries to overthrow the regime with the power of music.

There’s still a lot in the works, but for what we know right now is:

• We’ll be launching a Kickstarter campaign in the spring of 2018.
• Velvet Generation will feature a completely revamped original rules system that focuses on collaboration between you, your bandmates and fellow revolutionaries.
• You can sign up right now here to be notified when the Kickstarter launches.
• The original writing team, Scott Leaton and Rich Ranallo, are returning for the revamp. But if you’re a freelance RPG writer or artist who’d be interested in working on the project, we’d like to hear from you at starchildren@velvetgeneration.com.
